Balatonfüred sits on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe and one of Hungary's most beloved summer destinations. Early one morning, before the crowds arrived and the boats left the harbor, I captured this 360° photograph from above the pier. The kind of stillness you only get at sunrise.

The Northern Shore's Finest
Balatonfüred is arguably the most distinguished town on the northern shore of Balaton. It has the restaurants, the waterfront promenade, the historic buildings, and the kind of relaxed summer atmosphere that makes it easy to lose track of time. In July and August the town hums with visitors. In the early morning it's a different place entirely.
The Harbor
The harbor is the heart of Balatonfüred. Surrounded by historic architecture, it's the kind of place where you can sit for hours watching boats drift in and out. Walk the promenade, take a boat trip on the lake, or simply find a spot in the sun. Sometimes the simplest things are the most memorable.
