The Land of the Midnight Sun | Lofoten, Norway
Lofoten, Nordland, Norway • Aerial 360° Photograph
Could you live in constant sunlight? Lofoten will make you want to try.
Lofoten has everything: dramatic mountains, scenic hikes, magnificent beaches, cozy fishing villages, and waterfalls around every corner. But during summer months, everything is bathed in something extraordinary. The midnight sun turns the whole archipelago golden, and it doesn't stop.
Drone photography captures that light from above in a way nothing else can. Experience a moment of it here.
The Midnight Sun
North of the Arctic Circle, the sun simply doesn't set. From late May until mid-July, Lofoten exists in a state of permanent daylight. Not occasional sunshine here and there, actual 24-hour sunlight. Clouds and rain still happen, but the light is always there, waiting.
A Photographer's Dream
Photographers chase the golden hour: that brief window just before sunset and just after sunrise when the light turns warm, soft, and perfect. In Lofoten during summer, that window lasts six hours. From around 10 PM to 4 AM the light does things you simply cannot plan for anywhere else. You just have to be there.
