A Glimpse of Lyngen | Troms, Norway
Lyngen Alps, Troms, Norway • Aerial 360° Photograph
There's no better place to enjoy picturesque mountainscapes in Northern Norway than the Lyngen Alps.
Don't be mistaken, the Lyngen Alps has nothing to do with the Alps. While the latter stretches across Austria, Slovenia, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, and France, the former sits quietly east of Tromsø, near the Lyngen fjord. But as you can see in this photograph, the two mountain ranges do share at least one thing in common.
They're absolutely gorgeous, and only a drone photographer can truly capture that scale from above.
A Summer in the Lyngen Alps
This photograph was taken at the end of June. The foliage radiates that particular joy of early Nordic summer, fresh, vivid, and almost impossibly green. The weather is cool rather than warm, the water is beautiful, and snow patches still cling to the mountaintops. For hikers, mountain lovers, adventurers, and tourists alike, the Lyngen Alps in summer is the perfect place to recharge.
